IUCN Policy & Outreach
Victoria is currently a Project Officer on biodiversity and climate change in IUCN’s Global Policy Unit. She holds a bachelor and a master’s degree in Economics with a specialization in economic policy from the University of Neuchatel. For the past 5 years, she has been working for the IUCN, primarily coordinating IUCN’s participation, policy influencing activities, and engagement with the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). In this role, she has followed negotiations on the Paris Agreement and is following the development of the post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework under the CBD. Having grown up in Colombia, Victoria is interested in the North-South relationship between countries and in the role of nature in achieving sustainable development.
